Urban land reservation system has been established one after another in many cities of later years, playing important parts, such as accelerating the healthy development of urban land market, enhancing the government's regulative and controlling faculty, increasing the government's finance income, and so on. Because many of its management mechanisms are in the beginning and probation period, and there are short of systemic theories to conduct practical operations, we need to study those problems appeared in land reservation management in order to impulse the further progress of land reservation management and solve those problems preferably.Firstly, the paper simply analyses the background of urban land reservation system, and references some theory perspectives of land reservation from several domestic scholars. Then the author establishes a technology route to study the decision model for quantity of urban land reservation.Before establishing the decision model, the article sets forth a quantity type the thesis will discuss, the actual quantity. Then the thesis discusses a couple of main factors impacting on the quantity of land reservation. For the sake of convenience, the article presumes the government's target in land reservation is to acquire the maximum profit, and then loosens the presuming condition step by step. On the foundation of these, a decision-making model for quantity of urban land reservation is established. In accordance with this model, combined with the land reservation management in Wuhan city, the article analyses the quantity decision-making process of land reservation in Wuhan. Then, as an conclusion, the thesis brings forward some tactics and applying policy in both macroscopic and microscopic aspect, for the purpose of regulating and controlling the land market.
