Generally speaking, most multinational corporations possess of the abundant capital, giant scale, advanced technology, and worldwide sales network. Moreover, multinational corporations are good at developing and making use of the human capital, and depositing high quality person with ability, which makes them kept ahead in the competition all over the world. The reasonable investment on human capital will bring considerable profits to multinational corporations and keep them succeeding in the drastic worldwide competition. However, every coin has its two sides. So is it to the human capital investment. We'd better refer to multinational corporations' experiences on the human capital investment and know the risks on it correctly, which will help us taking corresponding measures to keep us away from the risks. These measures are significant to China's multinational corporations to carry out the target of human resource development, guard against the negative effects on human capital investments, and insure the prospective benefits.The paper is composed of four parts, and about 40000 words.The author puts forward the concept of human capital, human capital investments, and the human capital investments of multinational corporations and expatiates the characteristic of multinational corporations' investments and the signification of the multinational corporations' human capital investments in the first part.The author also discusses the naissance and developing tendency of the humancapital theory, and the content, the investment principal part and the investment yield of human capital investments in the second part. At the same time, the author analyses the cost and income of multinational corporations' human capital investments.The author introduces the experience and inspiration of IBM and SIMENS on human capital investments in the third part.The author presents the naissance and development of China's multinational corporations and the status in quo of human capital investments at first in the fourth part. And then, the author discusses on how to chose the investment object and content, and how to keep away from the risk of human capital investments for China's multinational corporations in detail. Afterwards, the author brings forward that China's multinational corporations should strengthen the human capital management in different cultural environments in order to complete the goal of human capital investments.
