Study On The Integration Of Defense Science And Technology In European Union After The Cold War

After Cold War, a new international environment is coming into being, and European Union tries to be an independent member in this polycentric world. Although European Union has crucially made a great step in its Economic Integration, the slow-moving Defense Integration sways its status and operation while European Union acts as a whole party on the global stage. Kosovo War, which has intensified the crisis consciousness in all nations of European Union, now urges them to speed their cooperation in defense exercises. National Defense Science and Technology Integration, as a backbone in the technology of Defense Cooperation, is projecting its increasing importance onto our vision.Based on a large numbers of domestic and foreign information, this paper gives a probing and systematic analysis of the European Union's National Defense Science and Technology Integration, including its causation, process, representation, facing challenges and the influence within. Accordingly, this paper summarizes the formation reason of European Union's National Defense Science and Technology Integration, and manifests its progress pattern. Concerning international political and security situation, this paper also analyzes the resistance from the United States and NATO, as in the process of European Union's National Defense Science and Technology Integration. Finally, it discusses the impacts of European Union's National Defense Science and Technology Integration, on aspects of National Science and Technology, the International Security Situation and our country.
