Studies On Citrus Industrialization In Gannan

Gannan is one of the famous citrus productive regions, and also one of the citrus advances industrial areas in China. It has an advantaged climate and resource predominance for naval orange planting. An unprecedented development of citrus planting scale and yield had made in recent years. This research applies agriculture industrialization, industry economics, micro-economic and macro-economic principle, market economics and citrus theory etc., analyzing Gannan citrus industry environment, Chinese and world citrus industry environment and Gannan's citrus industry present status, aiming at some vital questions such as reasonable development scale, pricing strategy, development strategy, industrialization working mode and industrial planting mode to have a discussion, putting forward the ways to resolve the questions according to the actual circumstance.The main results obtained in this paper were as follows:1. Agriculture industrialization is an operation which considering agriculture as an industry. The agriculture industrialization began since 1990s. At present, much industrialization working mode which according to the situation of our country appear. Many shortages on agriculture also exist.2. Citrus industrialization starts late in China. The citrus industry structure needs adjust. There are some serious problems on fruit quality, safety and marketing. It appears steady small-range increase on citrus cultivated area and total yield in the world, and an advance on citrus fruit quality. China is the first on citrus cultivation acreage in the world, but fruit quality and per unit area yield is obviously lower than citrus cultivated traditional advanced countries such as USA. Harvest time and variety structure need to be adjusted. Its planting scale is relatively small. The citrus industrialization has just started.3. Gannan is one of the citrus advances industrial areas of our country. It has an advantaged predominance on citrus development. The citrus production of Gannan is developed rapidly in recent years, and the cultivated area and total yield increase geminately. Navel orange is the mainly cultivated variety, and the mid-ripening variety is overwhelming majority. The processing variety is lack. The strength of leading enterprise is insufficient. The proportion of enterprise participating in postharvest treatment is not enough. The fruit market has not realized the standardization and exist hidden danger onselling. Agency organization is absent, but the number of citrus association increased rapidly.4. JiangXi GanNan Fruit Co., Ltd., one of the largest companies concerning fruit industrialization in China, was used as a case study of citrus industrialization in this project. After analyses concretely every business activities of the enterprise on participating in citrus industrialization, it was found that the enterprise got a lot of achievement on citrus orchard exploitation, selling net establishment, fruit commercial treatments and modern nurseries, but the develop speed is slow and the impetus of the industry prosecution is insufficient.5. After carefully analyses the problems existing in Gannan's citrus industry, it was suggested that the problems, such as unreasonable industry structure, lower scale degree, poor processing, lack of market concept and unbefitting industrialization working mode etc., must to be solved for the rapidly development of citrus industry in Gannan. The paper gives some relative countermeasures and suggestion. The total suitable developing scale is about 1.6><105 hectares; the government prices the fruit as a guide; the development stratagem is developing main body harmoniously while considering important point; citrus sells depends on multifariously selling strategies; citrus industrialization mode establishment aims at different development degree; an eco-cultivated mode named "pig-marsh gas-fruit" and its extend mode are suggested to be popularized.
