Research On Developing Strategy Of Modern Logistics Of Ningbo

Logistics has a very important effect on a city's economy and will enhance the city's role as a logistics center and economy center, which is especially evident for those locating at transport junction. What's more, as a kind of advanced organizing method and managing technology, logistics has been called "third profit resource" and has become a vital fundamental condition of the whole economy competition after surpassing the limit of a single industry. Consequently, integrity of the logistics planning of a city directly determines whether the economy will develop healthily.Logistics will have a more and more significant status in economy development of Ningbo, whose advantages including a strong regional economy and a wonderful port. In the current fast developing period of logistics, it should be answered that how Ningbo can grasp good opportunities to boost it's logistics industry based on the actuality and progressing trend of international logistics industry, in order to rebuild and complete the modern logistics network of Ningbo, and then promote its development as a port logistics conjunction city, which is a compositive problem Ningbo is facing now.This paper predicted the logistics demand of Ningbo in the following years based on analysis of the current status of logistics industry and the necessities of developing modern logistics, and then put forward the principles of planning and strategic targets as well. Afterwards, the SWOT method was used to analyze the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of modern logistics developing in Ningbo. Accordingly, a detailed strategic plan and some correlative political advices of developing modern logistics in Ningbo were constituted and given respectively.The main aims of this research are to accelerate the specialized operation and socialized management of Ningbo's modern logistics through strategic planning, to optimize regional industry structure, and then to promote the economy developing in that district. Furthermore, it is expected that this research can be used foT reference by other similar situations in other cities.This paper consists of seven parts. First part: review of research on modern logistics in China and all over the world and it's status as well as action, the aim and meaning of this research, and contents as well as methods of researching. Second part: analysis of the situation and necessity of modern logistics developing in Ningbo. Third part: total prediction of Ningbo's logistics demand in the future as the foundation of modern logistics planning. Fourth part: principle of planning and strategic targets of modern logistics of Ningbo. Fifth part: strategic planning of modern logistics in Ningbo by the method of SWOT. Sixth part: relative political advices on the developing of Ningbo's modern logistics from government's point of view. Last part: conclusion of the paper, including the innovation points and deficiencies of this paper, as well as it's application perspective.
