The key of an enterprise to establish and keep a long-term competition advantage is to establish a competition strategy to meet with the request of the real strength and the environment. Being a technology type enterprise with fifty years developed, the Fourth Survey and Design Institute (FSDI) faces with a problem to get away from the railroad department and go into the market completely. It needs to apply the theories and the methods of enterprise strategic management on the research of the competition strategy of FSDI.The study objective of this thesis is the design market of FSDI. Using strategic management theory, the method combine quantitative analisis and qualitative analysis shall be adopted to determine competition strategy of designing market for FSDI.The key problem in present will be pointed out through introducing the history and present condition of FSDI. For the sake of resolving the problem in scenically and objectively, and establishing out the competition strategy to match the business enterprise, this thesis analysis the external environment and interior environment of FSDI in detail, In the analysis about the external environment of enterprises, we apply ETOP to find the key factor; apply regression to analyze the need of market; apply statistical comparison of two factors to analyze the other competitions; and a lot of other qualitative analysis to find the opportunities and threats of FDSI. During analyzing the interior environment of enterprises, in order to evaluate the enterprise in actually we not only use the qualitative analysis on enterprise's integration ability but also use the GE matrix method to analyze the orientation of FSDI in all kinds ofmarkets. At the end we know the strengths and weakness of FSDI. According to the analysis of SWOT, we advance the strategic goals of the designing market, establish the competition strategy and countermeasure , evaluate the strategic project, hi term of the distribution of strategic project, we establish the innovative measures about organization, human resource management, information resource management, marking management, science and technology development. We hope it will be a worthwhile reference to the developing of FSDI designing market.
