Based on the management theory of modern marketing, and considering the global development and competition situation of steel industry, the current status and developing trend of Chinese steel industry are analyzed. And then, with the modern analyzing methods and research tool, through strategic considering and internal analysis of Wuhan Iron and Steel Company's product characters and market environment and Chinese steel industry's characters, the problems of marketing management and marketing strategic in Wuhan Iron and Steel Company are discussed.For marketing view and marketing strategic, the newest marketing theories are discussed, analyzed and combined. Based on this, the marketing concepts that are most needed in our country's steel industry are created. Through combination with the development strategic target, Wuhan Iron and Steel Company' marketing strategic are erected.In detail, the marketing strategic methods include : first, for product strategic the marketing breakdown and location are erected, the management cycle and new product development strategic are researched; second, the flax price strategic is put forward; third, the marketing channel of the steel industry is analyzed and researched, the problem in direct distribution channel to final consumer and medium distributor channel which most need solution are put forward, and the brokage method in abroad is discussed; forth, the abroad marketing strategic for Wuhan Iron and Steel Company is put forward. Last, for the aspects in industry culture and modern management information system, some methods are put forward to carry out and control the marketing strategic.In this paper, using Wuhan Iron and Steel Company's instance, the marketing theory analysis results and the marketing theory developing process is put forward, and the marketing experiences from the author are summed up in theory and the future research action is suggested. The innovation views in the paper are: for the current key developing situation in our country the new idea of the development of steel industry in our country is put forward; the method that transaction Wuahan Iron and Steel Company from traditional industry to modern industry are put forward, especially the marketing strategic; based on the marketing actual practice in Wuhan Iron and Steel Company, the most need solved problems and detail strategic are put forward. The above work can give the suggestion for the marketing theory research and practice in marketing management.
