The features of technologists are obviously different from the traditional workers on assembly lines. As a group of personnel who seek acting on their own and individuality and creativity and diversify, the knowledge personnel are important in corporation performance. It is important to research on career of the knowledge personnel for raising work eficiency and improving management and making the company occupy a dominant position.Career life development meets the requirements of technologist, which realizes a person's real development by satisfying his or her needs. Therefore, career life development has a long-term motivation effect on technologists.Taking technologists as the research object, this thesis studies the characteristics of technologists, the strategic significance of technologist career life development and enterprise management and the roles of career planning on enterprises and person. And then it provides career life development and management policy for enterprises' technologists. The purpose of this thesis is to help enterprises attract and keep excellent person stay through career life development and management, and thus to realize the personal development of technologists as well as the sustainable development of enterprise strategy.This thesis takes the career life development and management as the main research line, and the thesis proposes some mode for technologist career life development and management, and makes a thorough discussion on it, finally it presents an appropriate mode and some methods of technologist career life development, which can be used in a state-owed petrochemical work.Nowadays, with the pacing of global economic integration and China's accession into WTO, it has become unworkable for state-owned enterprises to have qualified knowledge workers at a low cost as before. Therefore, the research into career lifedevelopment theories has practical guidance on thedevelopment of Chinese enterprises' human resource management as well as the strengthening of human resource mechanism Along with the high market compitition in China,the enterprise are mor and more involving in competition of human capital.in order for survival,further development and building core competitive advantages,the enterprise start to realize that the key point is how to attract ,develop and retain key talents.at the same time,Human Resource Management is no longer only an administrative job,it is more on Human Resource Development rather than just Personnel Management.
