Since the reform and opening-up, the hotel industry has been rapidly developed and becomes an important force in promoting economy development. A stable, high-quality staff is essential for the hotel industry to gain the advantage in accelerated competition in the context of knowledge economy, especially after China joins in WTO. But there are still many problems in human resource development and management. The development of hotel industry requires high-quality employees, but at the same time, hotel industry cannot meet the needs of employees. This situation makes it difficult to attract and then retain talent, and furthermore become a bottleneck in the development of hotels. As a modern human resources management, career management, which emphasizes employees' career development, provides a novel way to break this bottleneck.Women are the majority in Chinese hotels. They play irreplaceable roles in the hotels and their own family. Career development of female employees in hotels is a continuous process of selection and adaptation. Moreover, women's own unique characteristics and the external environment make this process more complex. So developing gender-based career management is very important for women career development, and directly benefit the hotel industry. This article will explore the human resource management in hotel industry from the female perspective, and hope to provide theoretical support and methodological guidance.This paper use quantitative and qualitative analysis method, through questionnaires and interviews to primary data processing, analysis the status of career management about women employees of the hotel industry, and identify problems. We also will try to analyze the female employees how to seek career success, to obtain a balanced family and career development. We try to answer what hotels and society could to give them more help and support.
