Research On The Cooperation Between Shipbuilding Enterprise And Its Supplier

The shipbuilding industry is a strategic industry, and is backboned industry to export in our nation. Although our nation's shipbuilding industry is ranked third in the world, its market share is very low. Because the cost of our nation's ship design is high, and the production efficiency is low, the total cost of our nation's shipbuilding is approaching to the Japan's and the South Korea's. It reduces the competitiveness of our nation's shipbuilding in price. Our nation's shipbuilding enterprises should change the managerial concept, should improve managerial efficiency, should implement supply chain management, and should cooperate with supplier, in order to heighten competitiveness and to increase market share of our nation's shipbuilding enterprises.The dissertation analyses the types and the assessment of shipbuilding enterprise's supplier. The produces provided by the different types of supplier have the different effect to shipbuilding enterprises, and have the different degree of risk. According to the property of produces provided by suppliers, shipbuilding enterprises implement supplier management.The dissertation deeply researches the cooperation between shipbuilding enterprises and suppliers in the fields of purchase and inventory. According to the property of produces provided by potential suppliers, shipbuilding enterprises select suppliers to implement different cooperation. It is in favor of the improving operating benefits, in favor of the heightening resistance to risk and competitiveness of shipbuilding enterprises.In the considering position of supply chain, the dissertation study the cooperation performance between shipbuilding enterprises and suppliers. The dissertation sets up indexes from four aspects: supplier delivery reliability, supplier responsiveness, shipbuilding enterprise and supplier flexibility, and the cost of cooperation. Then the dissertation assesses the cooperation performance using a SCOR model.At last, the dissertation proposes the countermeasures to improve the cooperation performance. In order to improve the cooperation performance and insure the optimum operation of the shipbuilding supply chain, the dissertation mainly proposes some solutions from following aspects: forming a managerial new concept--value chain integration management based on supply chain, setting up mechanism to inspirit and restrict suppliers, integrating the global resources.
