Performance management, as the focus and core of human resource (HR) management, has aroused concern of more and more enterprises. Enterprises with high level of performance management can improve the competition edge by various means. To implement performance management assessment and follow performance management improvement is also an important guaranty of an enterprise's self-promotion and achievement of strategic goal. However, in HR management practice, it is not an easy task to build up and implement an effective performance assessment and management system. No matter whether at home or abroad, nearly all enterprises keep on seeking the perfect performance management system suitable for them. At present, many Chinese enterprises understand performance management only on the level of assessment, but not from the higher level of strategic management and improvement of enterprises performance management.MC Holding (China) Co. is a subsidiary company fully invested by the world famous Japanese transnational corporation MC Group. Duringover 30 years of development course in Chinese mainland, MC Holding (China) Co. keeps on improving the performance management system to adapt to its Chinese business development and the strategic target requirement. Its management system combines the typical Japanese cultural characteristics with the actual situation in Chinese mainland. This article takes MC Holding (China) Co. as the research object, through the researches on the different aspects of the performance management system of a present standard transnational enterprise, such as theory, principle, contents, methods and procedures, etc., further researches and probes into the whole process of the performance management of a typical Japanese company in China which is guided by target management, understands the HR management methods and strategies such as employees cultivation and performance promotion and inspiration for the purpose of providing references for Chinese enterprises.This thesis is made up of four parts.Part one: to introduce the development history of MC Holding (China) Co. in China, the business scope and organization structure, to analyze the influences of MC Group enterprise culture on its Chinese enterprises HR management system.Part two: to expound the related target management theory and performance management theory.Part three: to carry on deep research on performance management system of MC Holding (China) which is guided by target management, including target management system, performance assessment system, wages system and training system.Part four: to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of above system and combine them with the actual situation in China for the purpose of providing references for Chinese enterprises.
