With the development of the economy, enterprises pay more and more attentionto inventory management, the quality of which is regarded as the sources of theenterprise's reducing production cost and improving third part's profits. But thetraditional storage management is not suitable to the modern enterprises' development;accordingly, in the environment of the supply chain, the way of . Vendor-ManagedInventory(VMI) comes into being. Through the introducing the cost model andtechnology of VMI, the thesis provides the mathematical optimization of VMI,through analysizing the cases of applying, the thesis proves that VMI is feasible, butnot permanent. The system model of the VMI should be used flexibly according to theenterprise's condition. From the aspect of modern storage management, the thesis draws forth thesupplier's inventory management, and introduces systematically the cost model ofVMI, technical support, the division right and duty, the strategy demanding, and doesfurther analysis from the support condition and requirement. Chapter III begins to talkabout implement of VMI. It provides the typical implement system circuit, introducesthe information system of supporting VMI and gives a detailed analysis from theaspect of application. In chapter IV, the thesis analyzes the measurement ofachievement, measuring with the method of pole and difference analysis. With thereferring model of the supply chain management circuit as the pole, the thesis givesmore detailed analysis, and established the method of measuring the supplier'sachievement. Finally, with the large international limited company as the instance, thethesis does further analysis of VMI.Through the concrete data, it shows that "QSTInternational Corp. " has made great progress through carrying out VMI, and putsforth the future-developing trend of VMI.
