Mineral resources are an important material foundation for national economic andsocial development, and the utilization of mineral resources plays an important part inthe protection and promotion of the national economic development. However,currently there are some problems which can not be overlooked, the most importantissue is financing. Mining enterprises financing sources upgrade, and the sources offinancing are blocked. As a result of mining capital market's undevelopment,mining enterprises are difficult to finance through the market. In the internationalcapital market, the share of Chinese mining is very rare. In the domestic capitalmarkets, the difficulties of coming to the market of mining companies directly affectChina's mining development. Accession to WTO, China will face more opportunitiesand greater challenges, but China's current economic policy can not meet the mineralmining healthy economic development's needs. So the study of our mining industryfinancing to improve our approach to financing is particularly important.This paper mainly uses analytical and normative analysis of research methods,analyses our mining industry finance system reform and the characteristics of thecurrent financing problems, according to the international mining capital market andCanadian mining experiences to find the most suitable pattern for our mining industryfinancing. The most innovative points of the paper are the deeper analysis of thehistorical reasons of the current condition of mining financing, the appropriatecombination of Canadian financing experience of mining, and finally offering somesuggestions to improve our mining financial situation from both the financing policyand financing method.This paper is divided into four main parts:Part I, an introduction of the research background research and some relatedconcepts and theories of the mining financing.Part II, a detailed analysis of our country's mining and financing status,characteristics and current problems and regarding the economic reform in 1998 asthe demarcation point.Part III, an introduction of the related conditions of the international miningcapital market, and the financing pattern of the international mining industry indeveloped countries.Part IV, making the suggestions of our mining industry financing from twoaspects of policies and methods in light of China's actual conditions.
