Drawing lessons from the correlate research findings of experts or scholars inevaluation for the performance of engineering project management, the importance andnecessity of setting up evaluating system for the performance of engineering projectmanagement is pointed out in this paper by analyzing the consultive management ofoverall process in the consulting engineering industry and discussing the evaluatingtargets and methods. Overall process evaluating system for the performance ofengineering project management and the quantitative as well as qualitative fuzzycomprehensive evaluation pattern and confirmed the weighting of all the evaluatingtargets by Delphi method has been set up, according to the theory of fuzzingmathematics and guiding principle in the book Guide to Quality Management ofConsulting Engineering Industry in China issued by China National Association ofEngineering Consultant. At last in this paper the feasibility and applicability of thesystem is demonstrated, combining with the successful cases of the Beijing gaugingconsultant co.ltd.
