Organizational Commitment (OC) is the comparatively extent of the staff commiting to the organization and the tendency of staff's attitudes. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is the extra-role actions, which are made up by a serial of informal behaviors and beneficial for the whole organization. With the serious competition and organizational structure compressing in IT industry, OCB is emphasized gradually by the employers. In IT industry, there are two characteristics: frequent staff flow and high demand in teamwork. Turnover rates reflect the degree of OC, while OCB specializes in teamwork. This paper tries to discover the characteristicses of OC and OCB, and their correlations in the method of demonstration.This paper modifies and complements the usual domestic mature scales of OC and OCB, and finally finishes the special scales aiming at IT industry staff, which includes 5 dimensions and 18 items in formal OC scale, and 11 dimensions and 30 items in formal OCB scale. Although the IT industry has its own features, the analysis results have no obvious diffences in explaining dinmensions compared with the usual one.This reseach collects 326 samples in IT industry from comparatively developed cities, Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian and so on. In the steps of sending questionnaires, analysizing the data and summing up the results, the conclusions follow that:a. In IT industry, the OC has correlations with OCB.b. Normative commitment, affective commitment and economic commitment could bring about OCB more easily.c. Because of the IT speciality, the staff usually bahave more actively in the dimension of normative commitment and more inactively in the dimension of opportunity commitment.d. Most IT staff behave more active in the OCB dimensions of helping collegues, interpersonal relationship, participating teamwork activities and self-conscious studying.e. In IT industry, OC and OCB have no obvious difference in gender. But married employees are much higher than the unmarried in OC. The age of 26-30 is the fastigium of turnover.
