Nanyang Brothers Tobacco company was typical representative national capital enterprise, existing in the last half-century, which has been the concern of Chinese and foreign scholars and researched, and accessed to a wealth of research results. In summing up the results of the predecessors of this paper, the article simply studied Nanyang Brothers Tobacco Company for tobacco base building.The paper from the Nanyang Brothers Tobacco Company tobacco base building discussed the company in different historical periods examined and then followed British-American Tobacco Company until to establish his own tobacco base during the process of attempts and innovation: when Nanyang Brothers Tobacco Company was founded, he purchased the U.S. tobacco as raw materials and subsequently tried to nurture his own tobacco base, and also purchased tobacco in China and the United States to protect tobacco production, during Chiang Ting-control period, the company simply cooperated with British-American tobacco company, mutually beneficially, the whole difficult and tortuous development process. It also discussed series of business relationships in the process: series economic relations in tobacco buying;competition relations between Nanyang Brothers Tobacco Company and British-American Tobacco Company and other Chinese tobacco companies;relations of Nanyang Brothers Tobacco Company and peasants in the construction of tobacco base.The paper used comparative studies and field research methods to feasibly study the success or failure of Tobacco Companies base building, analyzed the deep-seated reasons that the Company ultimately not completed nationalization of the full raw tobacco, and further analyzed the social causes of deformed development of national capital and failed competition in the semi-colonial and semi-feudal old China, exploring significance and necessity of building a socialist political and economic system, the establishment of a modern enterprise system, the establishment of state-owned enterprises with "three agricultural" coordination and win-win development in new era.
