With China's reform and opening up to the outside world and socialist marketing economy mechanism growing and improving, the state has been in the ongoing reforms of the economy parts that cannot adapt the socialist marketing economy mechanism, such as the reform of agricultural land ownership and state-owned enterprises, etc. Similarly, in the financial field, the original state-owned commercial banks, in the face of the impact of the tide of the market economy, also seem inappropriate to the needs of economic development. Notably, with the development of China's socialist market economy, many local joint-stock commercial banks and commercial banks were created. Relying on good property structure and advanced management, they snatched a lot of market share from state-owned commercial banks, gradually weakening dominant position of state-owned commercial banks in the financial system. Especially with China's entry into WTO and foreign banks` competition, the status of state-owned commercial banks will be more challenging. Therefore it is necessary to reform state-owned commercial banks for equity.While in the path of property rights reform, we must maintain the main position of the state-owned commercial banks in China's financial system. This will require the enhancement of the competitiveness of state-owned commercial banks under the path of reform property so that they will remain successful in the face of the major domestic shareholding commercial banks, local commercial banks and foreign banks. Through ownership reform, the state-owned commercial banks should enhance the competitiveness, consolidated and developed in China's financial system status.Thus, this point is the property rights reform of the state-owned commercial banks and ways to improve their competitiveness in the path of property reform. This article also raised the corresponding measures.
