A period of economic transition witnesses that China's economic system is transferring from planning-controlled to orient and its mode of economic growth from extensive to intensive. The transformation of economic system and economic growth mode will undoubtedly result in the changes of distribution system and the innovation distribution theory On the basis of summing up and analyzing systematically the traditional distribution theory and rethinking profoundly of drawbacks of China's distribution practice under planning economic system, this dissertation focuses on the theory of combining the mode of distribution according to work with that of distribution according to productive elements put forward in the 15~th National congress of the C.P.C. It expounds the logical relation between the distribution according to work and distribution according to productive elements as well as their connotations. It also explores the principles, the realization mechanisms, the distribution means, the income model and the realization forms of the combination of the two distribution modes. And furthermore, after discussing the existing problems, the thesis provides the general ideas and the policy suggestions for how to improve the combination of distribution according to work and distribution according to productive elements. The thesis contains four chapters with about 60,000 words. After discussing the forming process, the premises (including social formation, economic formation, productivity and theory) and the connotation (including the subject, the object, the recipients, the measure, the forms and the results of distribution according to work) of Mark's theory of distribution according to work, the first chapter focuses on making comments on the theory, holding that Mark's theory of distribution according to work is a logical inference from the capitalist society to the future world, the value of which lies in its discovery that distribution according to work is a distribution principle and law, but there still exist some demerits in this theory: Firstly, one of its premises—individual labor can directly be social labor—is untenable because of the existence of ineffectual work; secondly, the role of plans made by distribution subject is overestimated; and thirdly, the fact that the means of livelihood can be turned into the means of production brings the result that the mode of distribution according to work cannot be put into practice in the unitary public ownership of means of production. The second chapter probes into the theory that the distribution according to work should be combined with the distribution according to productive elements. At the beginning of this chapter, the author analyzes the drawbacks the unitary system of distribution according to work, particularly pointing out the inner contradiction in Stalin's theory of distribution to quantity and quality of labor, on which the unitary system of distribution according to work is based. And then the forming process of the theory that the distribution according to work should be combined with the distribution according to productive elements is reviewed. Following the above muchemphasis is laid on the exploration of the fresh connotation of distribution according to work, with a new viewpoint put forward that in the socialist market system, distribution according to work means distribution according to labor property. And at same time, the connotation of distribution according to productive elements is expounded, including its subject, recipients, measure etc, especially, its definition is newly defined. Finally in this chapter, the author illustrates the inner logical relations between distribution according to work and distribution according to productive elements after showing their common ground, differences and certainty of integration, concluding that both Mark's distribution theory and the true argumentations of the Western economics on wealth creation support theoretical arguments for the combination of distribution according to work and distribution according to productive elements, and also believing that the fact that a laborer bears dual status as an owner of his labor and his productive elements confirms the inevitability combinationThe third chapter studies the practice of the combination of distribution according to work and distribution according to productive elements. At first, the author provides the principles, the realization mechanisms. The distribution means, the income model and the realization forms of their combination. And then the major problems of their combination in practice are discussed. As for the issue of the connotation of productive elements, the author particularly points out that the definition of the connotation of productive elements should follow two solutions of both theory and practice. At last, the general ideas and the policy suggestions for how to improve their combination are proposed.
