The Water&Power Company is a filial company affiliated to Danjiangkou Hanjiang Group, it supplies power to Hanjiang group, Danjiangkou city, yun county and xichuan county. Since the law of electric power was implemented in 1995, the company has been inhibited to supply power directly. This threatened the existence and operation of the enterprise seriously. While the reformation of the electric power system in 2002 conflicted to some clause of the law and made it possible to modify the law, this brought new hope to the development of the company .In 2004,the operation of Transfer Water from South to North engineering caused the reduce of the generate power of Danjiang Power Plant as well as the increase of the power consume .In this paper, the author discussed the competition strategies based on the background mentioned above.In this paper, the author first introduced the situation of the company, then put forward the research way after presented the research background .In the second chapter, the author illustrated the definitions and some strategic administration theories, then expounded some analysis techniques which was cited in the paper such as the exterior analysis, internal analysis, Andrews SWOT analysis frame, five kinds of competition power and value chain model etc.In the aspect of exterior environment, the author first demonstrated the plight which the related clause of law has brought and pointed that with the deeply development of the reformation of the power system, it is possible to modify the law, therefore it is likely to affirm the company's validity of the electric supplement; then the author showed that the operation of Transfer Water from South to North engineering will cause the increase of the consume power while reduced the number of the generate power, this will add the pressure to the company; meanwhile, the author cited Porter's five power model to analyze the environment and pointed out the competition trend. From the score of the EFE matrix, the author found the external condition was advantageous to the company. As for the interior condition, the author made use of the value chain model to analyze the organized institution and the flow of the company and thought that the existing institution could not accustomed to the market position which developed so quickly; In the part of the humanresource management and enterprise culture, the author thought the existing administration model could not inspire the enthusiastic of the employee.In addition, the author showed the feasible strategies which the company could take and used IE matrix to get the existing strategic trend of the company, then pointed out the external condition was beneficial to the company, the enterprise should take the intensive strategy which give priority to market penetration.Aim at the fact that the absence of the internal resource, the author thought the enterprise should rebuilt the organization, improve the flow and enhance the human resource administration and the enterprise culture construction.At the last chapter, the author summarized the whole analysis process of this paper.
