With the formation of world market, the competition between enterprises havefocused on how to satisfy the individual client's demands better. Without impairingenterprises' benefits manufacture individually based on client's demands has becomea product competition pattern in new century. The core is product planning and design.Based on this, considering extensive uncertain facts especially fuzzy facts, researchon how to realize them in product planning and design is an important problem. Thispaper makes further research on it. The main content are as follows:Firstly, this paper expounds the surrounding characters of Chinese enterprisesafter entering into WTO and the important status of product planning and design. Inthe mean time, it summarizes the interrelated theories on product planning and designin academe and then gives the research significance.Secondly, for the inherent fuzziness in QFD model it applies the fuzzy regressiontheory in QFD product planning progress and studies the method to determine therelation functions between customer requirements and engineering characteristics andcorrelation functions among engineering characteristics, and puts forward the productplanning model based on QFD.Thirdly, it introduces a physical programming approach which was proposed tooptimize multidisciplinary design, and gives its applied method and arithmeticexample on product family design, and sets up a physical programming model whichpossesses fuzzy performance index, and brings forward applying fuzzy statisticapproaches on making certain class functions in physical programming.Fourthly, it studies a fuzzy bilevel optimization method on product familycollaborative optimization design based on introducing fuzzy bilevel optimization.Under fuzzy characters mapping between product parameter and product function andprincipal and subordinate relation between platform parameter and individualparameter, it sets up a fuzzy bilevel optimization linear model to optimizecollaboratively platform parameter and individual ones.At the end, it applies the methods and models which researched above on theactual examples of product planning and design.
