Study On Collaborative Inventory Management Model Among Companies In Supply Chain Environment

As an important part of supply chain management, collaborative inventorymanagement has been gradually stressed. This thesis mainly discuss a new form ofcollaborative inventory management, that is Collaborative Planning, Forecasting andReplenishment.The whole thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is introduce the research background of this thesis, andexpound the present state of foreign & domestic research and main contents of thisthesis.In second chapter, we discuss the characteristic of collaborative inventorymanagement in supply chain management., implementing step and the relationshipbetween it and other inventory coordination mode. The third chapter is model studyand numerical experiment. We study the inventory replenishment strategy based oncollaborative forecasting and inventory coordination strategy based on commonreplenishment between one supplier and one buyer. Besides that, we also discussinventory coordination strategy based on collaborative replenishment between onesupplier and several buyers. Finally, we prove that collaboration can decrease cost andincrease benefit through the numerical experiment. In the fourth chapter, we discusssome challenges and some misgivings of collaborative inventory management basedon in supply chain management. At last, we sum up and prospect the research of thisthesis, and put forward the deficiency of this thesis and research direction in future.
