Study On The Risk Management Of Virtual Logistics Enterprises

Chinese logistics market is great potential and promising, which provides developing space and good opportunities for a great lot of TPL companies transformed from traditional storage and transportation companies. However, these TPL companies featured by small assets scale and service geographic scope, lack of quality and reliability in logistics service, have no advantage over international logistics group after entering WTO. Therefore, VLE (Virtual Logistics Enterprise) becomes the choice of many Chinese TPL companies in order to enhance integrated capability rapidly. Nevertheless VLE brings along advantages as well as new risks due to its complexity. On this background, the paper chooses the risk of VLE as the objective of research.So far the research on the risks of VLE has been at initial stages and has minor researching product, the systematic risk management has not formed. Aiming at this status, this paper systematically studies the theories and methods of risk management of VLE.Beginning with defining the concept of VLE and its risks, the paper classifies the risks of VLE and puts forward the three stages of risk management of VLE: risk identification, risk early alarm, risk control. Then, the paper identifies the inner and exterior risks of VLE, and analyzes the rootstock of each different risk factor. The third chapter studies the problem of risk early alarm of VLE, brings forward the index system and model based on three-layer neural network, which could predict the risk situation of VLE, and prove it feasible with an example. Finally, the paper studies the problem of the risk control of VLE, discusses risk control strategies according to risk grades, formulates different control techniques and measures to different risks and lays emphasis on the profit allotting risk control and the time risk control of VLE.
