Nowadays, fierce competition in international society assumes national contests of comprehensive national strength, which depends on their developmental levels of science and technology. The developmental level of science and technology has a direct bearing upon scientific accomplishment level of the public, which directly decided by the breadth and depth of science communication.Broadly, science communication refers to the communication and shares of scientific knowledge in the public. Narrowly, science communication is equal to general popular science. It includes processes in which subjects of producing scientific knowledge, namely, scientific community and science communication specialists using all kinds of methods (for instance the mass media) to popularize the scientific knowledge, advocate scientific methods, disseminate scientific thought and promote scientific spirit. According to the participating subjects and objects, science communication can be divided into three formations, the internal communication in scientific community, the science education and the popular science. Researches on science communication of domestic scholars mainly concentrated in the 20th century, and they have paid more attention on elaborating the evolutional patterns of science communication. This article aims at making certain the evolutional processes of science communication, focusing on analyzing the changes of each stage about the subject, the pattern, the logos of communication, and looking for the reasons of them through sociology ofscience.This article is divided into three parts approximately. The first part is chapter one which mainly defines the concept of science communication as well as the research meaning of the evolution of science communication. The second part is from the second to the fourth chapter. It illustrates three stages of the science communication, namely, "internal communication", " popular science" and "public understanding of science", analyzing evolutional reasons and typical characteristics of each one. The third part is the fifth chapter, which has mainly analyzed the evolutional process of science communication in our country since "the introduction of western learning to china", and it also refers to several problems we have to face up to, for example, the controversy of scientism and anti-pseudoscience.
