The Science Communication Study On Scient Ist-Taowa

The academic realm of science communication is comprehensive, which takes science as the research object. In the last few years, scholars have gained many achievements on it. It includes the scope of science communication, model and standpoint of science communication, the contents of science communication, the practice of science communication, etc. But the achievements are lack in the study on the square of scientist's buildings in china.This paper focuses on the Scientist-TaoWa as the research object. TaoWa-Square is a scenic spot in ManZhouLi, Hulun Buir. Accompanying the process of building the square, the image of scientists was also designed by the designers on TaoWa-Square.There are 192 entertaining TaoWa images on the square and 27 are Scientist-TaoWa. The government of ManZhouLi puts the image of scientists on the square and uses the carrier of TaoWa" to spread the image of scientists. It is necessary to analyze this special case from the view of science communication. Scientist-TaoWa is a unique case for science communication. From the reason of selecting Scientist-TaoWa, the textual description of Scientist-TaoWa, the images of Scientist-TaoWa to the effect of Scientist-TaoWa are all connected with science communication.This paper mainly analyzes the case from the aspects of science communicator,the content of science communication and the effect to science communication.The study expects of supporting theoretical and practical significance in expanding the scope of science communicators and extending ways to science communication.
