| Neither the economic development nor the reform of cities can succeed without rural labors. Rural labors, as a new group of people, have become important human resources for the construction and development of cities. The transportation of rural labors makes the economic development of China more active, as well as brings significant effects to the social development of China. There are many problems faced by rural labors, all of which intensely connect to the wages of rural labors. In light of the current status of wages, starting from the effects brought by the wage level of rural labors to the economic development and the reform of cities, and in terms of the reality of China, this paper discusses the future development trend to be relaxation and improvement and provides valuable methods to fundamentally solve the problems of rural labors in cities.By reference to domestic and overseas theories, research methods and cases regarding rural labor problems, and explaining from the economics perspective, this paper analyzes and proves the wages of rural labors both in theoretical and practical tiers. First, the paper introduces the Lewis' close end economy model, and combined with the development of Latin American and East Asian countries and the fluctuation of wages in these countries, the paper explains the adaptability of the model to the economic development of developing countries. Second, though investigation, data and statistics materials, the paper closely analyzes the quantity, structure, increase and stability of the rural labors' wages, and objectively and comprehensively reflects the actual situation of rural labors' wages. Third, via the contribution and effects of rural labors' wages to the economic development, city construction and the decrease of difference between city and rural area, the paper shows the significance of increasing rural labors' wages to some extent. Finally, viewing from the opportunity and setback of the increase of rural labors' wages, the paper judges the development of rurallabors' wages. The conclusion of the paper is, in short term, the wage of rural labors will not increase heavily, while in the long term, there will be a big increase of the wage, and even some of the rural labors will become mid-class people in terms of wages. |
