Research On The Utilization And Decision-making Of Land In Rural-Urban Continuum

As an important part of city, the rural-urban continuum shows rapid develop speed. Particularly in the area which is nearby the urban, because of the effect of urban economic, the rural factors became less and less. There are more and more urban factors are shown. It has become the place where there are so many problems in land utilization.Many problems concerning the urban-rural fringe of Xi'an city are arising because 1. the rapidly spread of city area and reduce of infield area, 2.the complexity of types of land-use and its structure, 3. the confusion of property right, 4. the lower land-use rate and the bad environment. So, it becomes harder and harder to make clear prediction over time.The land-use decision-making is made by government, but it will be effect not only by the city planning, but also by the market economy. In market economy, the bodies which effect the decision of land use include the country, city government, village collectivity economy, farmer and the developer. In this thesis, the country, city government and village collectivity economy are seen as a whole player—government in the game because of they have almost similar object in improving the people's standard of living and the economic development. On the basis of the characters of the land use by the game theory, the model has been brought up. The result has been analyzed and the other factors have been pointed out. Contrast to the actual circumstances of Xi'an, some valid measures and suggestions have been brought up.
