The newspapers and magazines issue is a traditional business of China Post. From 1950's to 1980's, the post issue system has been the only force in this kind of business. With development and interposition of the individual and social publishing, the monopolization starts to be broken up. In recent years, along with the high-speed development of the Chinese newspapers and magazines market, the newspapers and magazines issue market of China also presents higher development speed and becomes attractive to each kind of rivals. The market competition becomes increasingly fierce. Especially after our country joining WTO, General Administration of Press and Publication pushes publication a step forward, making publishing a market which is already an irresistible general trend. Currently, the newspapers and magazines issue places a prominent position of the third in all kinds of business in Jilin Post. In the last few years, the development of Jilin province's newspapers and magazines publishing business has been in a low development level and the business growth is slow-moving, as well as with the market share descending continuously.
