Selection Of Strategic Industries For The Rise Of The Middle Area Of China

In new century, while going on pushing ahead with the leading development of the eastern area of China, the Chinese Government has also put out the strategies of the comprehensive development of the western area and speeding up the development of the middle area. Owing to the increasing appeal for speeding up the rise of the middle area in economy, the development of it has become a significant strategic project concerned by the people all over the country. In recent years, the Chinese Government has put forward a series of new development strategies in favor of the middle area. Meantime, various provinces in the middle area have also advanced and carried out some development strategies of their own in a way of leaping over, which has already initiated the first phase of the rise of the middle area. But we must notice that it is just a beginning of the rise of the middle area, in the interactive development between the east and the west, the relatively backward economic situation of the middle area is still self-evident. The immense development potentialities held in store in the middle area are still waiting to be tapped, so how to speed up the rise of the middle area is still an important problem that we must explore deeply to work out.The strategic thinking of the regional development may become a reality through optimization of the strategic industries and development of the priority regions. The optimization and development of the strategic industries are closely related to the strategy adjustment and optimization of the regional industrial structure. The study of the theory of the industrial structure manifests that different types of industrial structure actually mean different resources distribution, different strategic industries optimization and different modal of regional economical development. Perfect and rational regional industrial structure and strategic industries can truly bring sound and comprehensive economic development of a region.In view of the above-mentioned cognition, this thesis has introduced a particular plan to improve their own competitive power about the optimization of the strategic industries for the rise of the middle area to accelerate its rapid economic development, by means of the theory of regional development, the theory of industrial structure and using Weaver-Thomas's Model for reference.
