Study On Speeding Up The Industrialization Processes Of The Middle-area By Making The Best Of The Late-development Advantage

To speed up the Middle-area's industrialization processes and to realize its growing-up is an objective claim for the regional economic development in phase, and also an important issue of the economic development in our whole country. According to the late-development advantage theory, this paper puts forward the strategies and advices by which the Middle-area makes the best of the late-development advantage to promote the industrialization processes. This paper firstly examines the connotation, substance, and the implemental mechanism of the late-development advantage theory. The results suggest that the late-development advantage is the special advantage brought by the late-development country's backwardness itself. This advantage, which doesn't belong to the advanced countries and can't be made by the late-development countries by efforts, thoroughly coexists with their relative economic backwardness. The advantage of technological and institutional innovation, the advantage of using the experience of the advanced countries for reference, the advantage of spirit, the advantage of the indraught for capital, the advantage of structural adjustment, and the advantage of human resources are all involved in the late-development advantage. During the course of industrialization and modernization, the late-development countries have capacious space and intensive motivation to study from the advanced countries on technology, institution, development experience and so on. That is the substance of late-development advantage, only owing to existing the enormous gap between the late-development countries and the advanced countries. As the substance of late-development advantage is a type of learning advantage, the realization of it must be based on that the late-development countries learn from the advanced countries. Whether the late-development countries attempt to learn from the advanced countries and the learning ability of the former is the key factor that decides whether late-development countries can change the late-development advantage into practical economic advantage, and keep up with the economic development step of the advanced countries.Secondly, by collecting the countrywide data, this paper develops a model with which analyzes the relationship between the late-development advantage and economic development with the regression analysis.
