Study On The Regional Economic Disparity And Its Coordinate Development In Jiangxi Province

Regional economic disparity is a core question of the regional economics, which is a global problem that puzzling all of the countries in the world for their lopsided development. Regional disparity is the consequence of market economy, with the market economy system being established gradually in China, the largest developing countries in the world, regional disparity in China has got more and more severe. That will inevitably baffle the advancement of market reform and the coordinate development of regional economics in China. Lying in the middle area of China, Jiangxi province also has the problem of regional disparity inside with the advancement of market reform as like the country. There has important theoretical significance and magnificent practical significance in the studying of the regional disparity in Jiangxi province not only for accelerating the economic development of Jiangxi province but also for the successful implement of the developing strategy in the middle area of China.Based on summarizing abundance of related literatures, home and abroad, taking 80 counties (cities) of Jiangxi province as the objects, selecting 14 indexes, using SPSS software and approaches of Cluster Analysis and Principal Component Analysis, This thesis carries out an empirical analysis and synthesized evaluation on the regional disparity of the economic development level of the counties (cities) in Jiangxi. We can draw some conclusions. Firstly, the 80 counties(cities) of Jiangxi could be classified into 4 kinds(developed, more-developed, middle-developed, under-developed). Secondly, the regional disparity of Jiangxi takes on the following characters. Economic disparity of counties(cities) in Jiangxi is notable, which takes appearance of higher in the north and south area of Jiangxi province and lower in the middle and remote area. Disparity of polarization and pole-axis character is distinct.After that, this thesis analyzes the deep reasons which have caused the regional disparity in Jiangxi and points out some countermeasures for coordinating the regional economic development of Jiangxi province.This thesis consists of 5 parts.Part0 introduces the background, significance and intention of this theme.Part1 summarizes the related literatures of regional economic disparity.Part2 introduces the concrete approaches that this study has used.Part3 is the emphases of this thesis, through collecting, dealing with and analyzing the original datum, 14 indexes and SPSS software are used for the Factor Analysis and Cluster Analysis to the 80 counties(cities) in Jiangxi province. And we have got a basic cognition to the regional disparity in Jiangxi province.Part4 discusses the inducing reasons of the regional disparity in Jiangxi province from the following aspects, i.e. physical geography environment, regional development strategy, location, economic structure, investment policies, culture concept, etc.The last part, base on analyzing the necessity of the coordinated economic development, puts forward some countermeasures for coordinating the regional economic development of Jiangxi province.
