Research On The Regional Economic Discrepancy Of Yangtze Delta

In 21st century, the Yangtze delta is one of the most high-speed developed area in china. But at the same time it's regional economic pattern has been changed greatly. In order to research such a complex problem at a special viewpoint, the scientific development view and harmonious society are the views we considered. Then we built an index system , using Determine the nature and Quantitative method, Average weighting method, Hierarchical Cluster Analysis ,we get the conclusion of the Yangtze delta's regional economic discrepancy. First, the difference in regions 'development level mainly caused by the situation of regional economic development and the ability of scientific and technical innovation, social development and environment are not the main reason. This is because local government have paid more attention to social and environmental problems , however, economic development and scientific innovation are usually request specified conditions, which are not exist in every region. Second, the regional economic development level in Yangtze delta appeared to be layer- structure, and the spatial structure of north part and south part are quite different. In the north ,SuNan area, whose development caused by foreign investments, depends on the traffic lines. The regional economic development level are determined by the distance to the centre city. In the south ,Zhebei area, the economic level which depends on itself. Its city spatial structure turned to be Group organization.This paper also researched on the history of the regional economic discrepancy. In 1978,at the beginning, the Absolute disparity was not very big, while the Relativity disparity was great. In 1980s the Absolute disparity was hardly change, but the gap of Relativity disparity are become small. From 1990s to now both the Absolute disparity and the Relativity disparity are become bigger, meanwhile the spatial structure of Yangtze Delta was changed from a single centre to the point- axes structure. At the end of this paper ,1 proposed some suggestion on how to make the Yangtze delta develop in harmony, such as setting up an institution which can regulation the economic activities in Yangtze delta , or divide the Industry among regions.
