A Study On The Biodiversity Of Staphylinidae In Naban River Nature Reserve Of Yunnan Province (Insecta:Coleoptera)

Staphylinidae is a large family of Coleoptera, which belongs to Insecta. Their habitatsare diversiform, but the species of Staphylinidae are closely related to human. Most ofthem are carnivorous, and are also an important natural enemy of pests in agriculture andforestry. Some species live on animal and plant organic residues, and also promotematerial cycle in nature. It is conducive to maintaining the ecological balance. They arevery important natural resources.Naban River Nature Reserve of Yunnan Province Department is located inthe Oriental realm. The species of Staphylinidae are very rich. Study of classification inStaphylinidae of this area will have impotrant meaning of Ecological structure and groupstructure of benthic animal in soil.On January，2004;July，2005and November,2008，this is the first time that theresearchers from Naban River Nature Reserve and Shanghai Normal University studied theresouces in this area.They geted more than5000specimen of insects.So we identified5000samples collected from the12collected-area in Naban Rjver，and then we studied systematically and summarized Staphylinidae resources in the area.The results of my research can be summarized as follows:1.This paper is the first study on the Staphylinidae diversity in Naban River NatureReserve of Yunnan Province Department.2.In this paper,156species of51genera in6subfamily of the family Staphylinidaewere recognized.3.51genera were described in their main diagnostic characters.4.The key to the subfamily, tribe, subtribe, genus of Staphylinidae of Naban RiverNature Reserve of Yunnan Province Department were presented.5.A catalog of the Staphylinidae of Naban River Nature Reserve of Yunnan ProvinceDepartment was given.6.The analysis of the biodiversity of Naban River Nature Reserve of Yunnan ProvinceDepartment was provided.
