According to the special denim garment washing and processing methods, crease memoryand anti-bacterial function are given to the denim fabric in the process of crease memory.Three antimicrobial agents were used to cotton denim fabric by impregnation method andpadding to test antibacterial effect against Staphylococcus aureus. The antibacterial effect ofnano-silver antimicrobial agent is the best, so the nano-silver antimicrobial agent was chosento remix with denim crease memory resin. The concentration of 20g/L nano-silverantimicrobial agent and 100g/L denim crease memory resin were chosen to make complexformulation after testing the antibacterial property of various proportions of compoundfinishing agent. Particle size analysis, rheological properties, infrared spectroscopy andstability analysis were tested to study the physical and chemical properties of the compoundfinishing agent.The compound finishing agent was used to cotton denim fabric by the impregnationmethod. Crease recovery angle and inhibition rate were chosen as the evaluation index. Somefactors were discussed to evaluate the crease memory and antibacterial properties of thetreated denim fabrics, like concentration of compound finishing agent, liquor ratio,impregnation temperature, curing temperature and curing time. The results show that thecotton denim fabric has good crease memory and antibacterial properties after treated withcompound finishing agent. The compound finishing agent can destroy the cell structureeffectively by extracting DNA of E. coli and electrophoresis. It may make it to lose the abilityof replicate through concentrat DNA and cause DNA degradation to inhibit bacterial growthand reproduction.On the basis of the analysis of single factor experiment, four factors and three levelsorthogonal experimental program was designed. The crease recovery angle, Staphylococcusaureus inhibition rate and E. coli inhibition rate were the evaluation index. The foctors ofconcentration of compound finishing agent, liquor ratio, curing temperature and curing timewere discussed. The results show that the best finishing process is concentration of compoundfinishing agent 120g / L, liquor ratio 1:5, curing temperature 160°C, the curing time 20min.The cotton denim fabrics has excellent crease resistance, antibacterial properties, as well aswashing performance after optimize process finishing; the denim fabrics can remain creasememory after 50 times washing, antibacterial rate of more than 70%. After the optimizationprocess finishing, the physical properties of cotton denim fabric has a certain decline thanbefore the dinish. But the related indicators of changes were in the acceptable range, and werein accordance with the national standards for the textile industry FZ/T81006-2007, thus, thefinishing has little effect on the overall wearability for the denim garment.
