Rotary steering system (RSS) is the one advanced directional drillingtechnologies of the oilfield directional well work that developed in the end of thetwentieth century. There are two kinds of Rotary Steering System(RSS) in the field ofRSS technology, the Push-the-bit RSS is the one important research branches. Itguides the bit by pushing the bit toward one side of the well. Because the big rigidityand weight of the drill string, it makes the pushing force must be large enough whenpushing the drill string. So commonly hydraulic system was used as the push power.This article have deeply researched the working principle of the push-the-bitRSS, analyzed the relationship between the input and output of the control system,and analyzed the relationship between control and system accuracy. This paperexpounds the importance of the pushing force measurement test, It showed thetraditional test methods of the pushing force. Because the control system cannotdirectly measure and control the actual forces act on the well wall, can only monitorthe hydraulic pressure, and the actual forces acting on the wall is not entirelyequivalent the pressure and the piston area of the product. In order to accuratelymeasure the actual pushing force, and get the relationship between the actual pushingforce and the output pressure of hydraulic system. This paper designed and developeda set of practical Pushing-force testing device, including pushing force signalacquisition circuit and load test plate and test software. Use the plate to simulate theactual wall, using the force sensors to measure pushing force directly from thepushing-arm. By the Interpolation fitting on hydraulic pressure and actual thrust, wewill get the linear function relationship between hydraulic pressure and actual thrust,and the calibration data can be used to revise the control system. At the same time, itprovides the methods and means for steering force control and calibration.The article introduced the design process of steering force signal collection andprocessing module in detail. Apply the current mature microcontroller technology todesign the Circuit. It have met the requirements of system test functionality andstability. Using the SolidWorks software to design the load test plate mechanicalstructure and3d modeling. It mainly analyzed the force of the load plate by the finiteelement software SolidWorks Simulation, and optimized the load plate structureaccording to the analysis results. Test software design based on Delphi developmentlanguage, applying the idea of modular design, software are divided into four modulesaccording to the test methods and steps. Paper finished the whole test system designand manufacturing work, and finished the alignment test, the test data show that thedeformation of optimized load plate is less than front of the plate, the improvement ofthe load test plate is obvious. To improve the control precision of the system significantly, and liberated thehuman work greatly by automated testing way. The steering force test systemimproved the working efficiency, realize this significance of research, has reached theexpected goal.
