Mine soft rock supporting is always one of the major problems in China’s coal mineproduction and construction. Soft rock roadway incorrect not only caused losses each year, butalso threat the mine safety, especially the roadway, can lead to the productiondifficulties.Charactesrs of low strength of surrounding rock and easy expansion deformationwith water in Baleng coal mine make it hard to support, and study on this has an importantsignificance in engineering practice.Relevent mechanical properties parameters and data of main stress in8thcoal mine of thefirst level were got by coring and laboratory test. The direction of maximum horizontalprincipal stress was nearly eastwast with value of36.56MPa and the minimum value was18.75MPa.The minimum vertical principal stress had value of18.75MPa. Based on this,numerical model of soft rock main radaway in deep mine was constructed. Surrounding rockdeformation and failue characteristics of return roadway, tape roadway and track roadway wasanalyzed numerically to conclude that tensile failure damage and floor heaving of roadwaydeformation were the main form. The deformation amount was respecitive470mm,608mmand436mm; roof subsidence amount was respecitive94.5mm,125.7mm and91.6mm.Through theoretical and engineering analogy analysis,4kinds of supporting scheme wereproposed: high strength bolt shotcreting+shed+bottom bolt supporting, high strength boltshotcreting+shed+bottom anchor cable+base angle bolt spporting, high strength boltshotcreting+shed+bottom anchor cable+base angle anchor cable supporting and highstrength bolt shotcreting+shed+inverted arch supporting. Then by comparison analysis ofnumerical simulation, high strength bolt shotcreting+shed+inverted arch supporting had thebest effect and parameters of soft rock main roadway in deep mine were determined.
