Under the support by Natural Sciense Foundation for Talented Youngs of Chongqing and the Supporting Program of New-Century Talents by the Ministry of Education, based on the research of 3D geological modeling and visualization technology, the theory of 3D geological visualized modeling is comprehensively studied, especially, the theory of building 3D geological visualized model. Some specific methods of building geological-mass's solid model and block model is given out based on Surpac System. Inverse Distance to a Power is applied to set up block models. The 3D geological visualized model of Qi Xia-shan lead-zinc mine is established and its preliminary application is investigated. The main conclusions are summarized as follows:①Using more wave seismometers to detect deep rock geological condition is feasible. The detected results of harmful geological condition such as weak inter-layers, joints, fractures and fault are the same as actual geological conditions.②Basic theories of 3D geological modeling and visualization is studied. Classification of 3D geological model, the main interpolation theory of 3D geological modeling, the current method of building 3D geological modeling and theory of 3D visualization technology is summarized.③The principles and process of building solid model are deeply analyzed. The method of building geological solid model is summarized, and the surface model, rock model, fault model, ore-body model, laneway model of the Qi Xia-shan lead-zinc deposit are built. Especially, the different laneways'solid modeling is established by using the laneway midline mining method, the relationship and difference of the two kinds of modeling method is studied.④According to the specific situations of the mine, the principles and process of building block model is deeply researched, and the specific steps of modeling is given out. The block model is interpolated by using the Inverse Distance to a Power, then 3D geological visualized model is build.⑤The preliminary application of the mine's three-dimensional geological visualized model is studied. This model has strong three-dimensional display effect, can perspectively see ore-bodies'shape, characteristics, and the position relationship between the geological bodies. We can cut sections in different directions in solid model, which has profound significance to research metallization regularities and mining design. In the block model, we can observe the mine's geology condition from different ways, can cut profiles and roam. This model can be used to guide the mine's production safely and information management.
