NC machine toolwhich has been an important role in manufacturing industry andpromoted the development of manufacturing industry is very important to thedevelopment of the whole national economy in China.Butbackward ofthe domesticmachine tool technology, slow development and lower intelligent level at present hasalready can not meet the requirements for the development of the manufacturingindustry in our country and satisfy the requirement of the manufacturing enterprises tocarry out the strategy of informatization development, which require us to improve theoverall level of manufacturing of the machine tools in our country.Along with the rapiddevelopment of network technology, automation technology and intelligent reasoningtechnology, networking and intelligent manufacturing is the development direction ofthe machine tool industry.And multifunctional embedded terminal system can help NCmachine tool to realize networked and intellectualization.In Aiming at improving thelevel of networking and intelligent manufacturing of NC machine tools,supportingplatform and key technology of intelligent terminal machine tool system are studied,and implement the prototype system development to prove the validity of the relevanttheory and practicality of the system.Fistly,thepaper expounds the domestic NC machine`s backward of intelligent level,be lack of independent intellectual property rights, be heavily dependent on imports aswell as networked and intelligent machine’s important and far-reaching significance tothe whole manufacturingof our country.On the basis of analysis of the Intelligentmachine terminals, intelligent terminal machine tool system,terminal system supportingplatform and its configurability needs, and then put forward the system framework ofintelligent terminal system supporting platform, and carries on the detailed description.Then,the paper has a key research on the intelligent terminal system supportingplatform and its key techniques.Key technology mainly include:1) The interactiontechnologybetween CNC system and the terminal system.The implementation model ofinformation interaction between CNC system and the terminal system is studied underthe open architecture numerical control system in today’s mainstream numerical controlsystem.2) NC machine tool body and terminal system information interactiontechnology.Based on plug-in manner and the priority of hardware interface schedulingbased on FCFS to realise data collection and control of sensor, intelligent instrument, data acquisition cardwas studied;3) The dynamic reconfigurable technologyofintelligent terminal system in machine tool.Studied the integration of function moduleof terminal system and dynamic configuration interface style.4) Networksupportingtechnologies of intelligent machine terminal system supporting platform, includingTCP/IP network communication, serial communication and USB communication.Later, on the basis of the analysis of intelligent machine terminal systemsupporting platform framework and the research of key technology, established theterminal system hardware platform, transplanted the embedded operating system basedon hardware platform, finally focused on the implementation of key technologiesinvolved development and supporting platform, and formed the application programinterface for application layer to call in order to realize the intelligent network andintelligent machine.Finally, the prototype system wasdeveloped and piloted run in hobbing machine ofsome gear manufacturing enterprise in Chongqing.It reduced the development difficultyof terminal system function module, shorten the development cycle and improved theutilization rate of resources related to the embedded terminal, laid a solid foundation torealize intelligent networking of NC machine tool.
