A tooth sheet welding automatic control system was designed in this paper, which was used to produce recycling devices absorbing heat in the exhaust gas of a thermal power plant emission.The tooth sheet welding automatic control system could weld tooth sheet evenly on both sides of the steel pipe. The steel pipe was pushed forward with the servo, so the accuracy of the product processing and the efficiency of the manufacturing could be improved obviously.The main work was as follows.Firstly, the components and the principle of the tooth sheet welding production line were introduced. It was composed of tooth sheet blanking section, steel pipe propulsion section and welding section. The tooth sheet blanking section fixed the tooth sheet on both sides of the steel pipe by cylinders controlled by solenoid valves combined with mechanical parts; Steel pipe propulsion section was driven by a servo motor, enabling precise length feeding; Welding section welded the tooth sheet on both sides of the steel pipe. This three-section coordination was realized under the control of the PLC, and the entire production line was monitored by a touch panel.Secondly, the control system was designed according to the technical process of the production line. The hardware components such as PLC, servo driver/servo motor, touch panel, solenoid valve and so on were selected. The hookup of PLC to servo driver was designed, and the parameters setting of the servo driver was illustrated in detail.Thirdly, the control program mainly including the touch panel screen and the PLC control program were designed according to the process requirement of the system. The touch panel screen was used to set the parameter and monitor the operation. Several primary algorithms, such as the transform between the length and the pulse number and that between the feeding speed and the pulse frequency were introduced. Also the program such as servo control and other key segments were illustrated in detail.Finally, the control system was debugged. The system was in use properly and production requirement was met.Now the system has been put into use. It is proved that the control system fully displayed its advantages such as high precision, rapid response and smooth operation and so on. Its accuracy could be up to10m±2mm, fully realized the requirement.
