Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose (hereinafter referred to as HPMC) is nonionic polymeric compound with minimum output, best chemical properties and broad range. HPMC is widely used in industrial fields and daily lives for its excellent nature of thickening, emulsification, colloid protection and water holding. Therefore, it is called.Industrial Monosodium Glutamate. The output of HPMC has been increased for its high comprehensive properties, broad range usage. However, in HPMC fields, there are still some promblems to be solved and studied intensively during the application process because of the discrepancy between technology and equipment, the difference between performance and quality, non-standard contamination controlling.In proposed project, refined cotton is the raw material and HPMC is gained through the process of alkalization, etherification, neutralization and aftertreatment. The annual output of HPMC is1,000tons.This subject introduces the formation mechanism of HMPC and analyzes production process. Pollution links during the production process and related analysis of material balance is researched in this subject. This subject assesses environmental impact of waste gas, waste water, noise, and solid waste during the operation process. The subject provides related environmental impact assessment guidance for environmental operation of production for HMPC.
