In recent years, with frequent mine of major accidents, especially when a large number of trapped by miners waiting for rescue, because there is no accurate location information, emergency rescue efficiency is low, cause huge casualties and property losses. Set by the state administration of work safety in 2010 "the metal non-metal underground mine safety risk aversion" six systems "installation and the interim provisions on the supervision and inspection, the provisions of the personnel positioning system is one of the six systems. As a result, researching the technology of the personnel positioning system, meet the demand of the mine personnel positioning, has important significance in the field of safety engineering. Traditional wired communication technology, however, because of its wiring inconvenience, higher failure rate defects has been unable to meet the needs of the mine personnel positioning system, and the emerging wireless sensor network(WSN) technology is very good can solve these problems, and has better application. WSN is a kind of wireless intelligent monitoring network technology, combined with modern sensor technology, embedded technology,wireless communication technology, etc. To mine as the research object, this paper through the WSN technology design and research of mine personnel positioning system, focusing on wireless communication technology, system design, the routing algorithm based on system analysis and personnel positioning algorithm. The main contents are as follows:(1) Five kinds of wireless communication technologies such as Zig Bee, RFID is compared, the key technology of Zig Bee basic principle, characteristics, advantages and application in mine personnel positioning system is analyzed, the study found that Zig Bee technology is more suitable for the application of underground personnel positioning system. And design of underground personnel positioning system based on Zig Bee architecture.(2) The right by the algorithm is studied. Analyzing the difference between the WSN routing algorithm and the traditional routing algorithms and features, according to the actual situation of underground node deployment analysis, lastly, alone the roadway drivage head design a routing algorithm based on energy recognition, the algorithm hardware requirements low, uniform energy distribution, and improve the life cycle of the network.(3) The study of localization algorithm. Persons on several kinds of commonly used localization algorithm were analyzed. According to the special environment of underground roadway, we design a dual centroid algorithm, are simulated by the software testing. The experimental results, the system positioning precision than the traditional to the precise number of centroid algorithm, and the energy consumption is not high, can basically meet the demand of underground personnel positioning, also provide some new ideas for mine safety in production technology.
