Outdoor furniture is an essential leisure facilities and ornamental facilities in the city life people,and originated from life and serve life.it is an element of the environment space,also a carrier of history and culture, not only reflects the city’s geographic conditions, but also is an important window for the brand image.However,"emotional" has been in a state of society is so low, and no too much attention.The so-called"humanistic care" is more lack, traditional culture idea of "nature and humanity" is the lack of use. Only because of this, the article combines the outdoor furniture with emotional in order to cater to People’s Daily needs, at the same time strengthen the emotional communication between people.In this paper, the first chapter summarizes the outdoor furniture emotional design research background, present situation at home and abroad, methods, research contents, technical route, theory, innovation points and research difficulties and solutions; The second chapter explained the concept, classification, function of outdoor furniture and emotional design, meeting the main points of the four major functions:constructing a ecological environment development; Enhancing the well-being of people; Making a life of harmony; Raising the utilization ratio of outdoor space. In addition, the American psychologist Donald a. Norman principle and outdoor furniture perfect combination of emotional, emotional experience and instinct level, emotional and behavioral levels, emotional pouring and reflection on three level, calling for emotional appeal.
