By using geographic information systems (GIS) can take good deal with the extremely relation between activities of petroleum exploration and development and their spatial location. Geographic Information System (GIS) is characterized by processing data with spatial position and spatial information. Depending on this characteristic, this paper has done the application research of heavy oil and thermal production based on GIS. This paper describes the meaning of geographic information system (GIS) technology for the oil fields and also describes the role of geographic information system (GIS) technology in building the information technology of petroleum industry. Combine with the characteristics of the development of heavy oil thermal recovery and based on typical cases which has successfully applied in the domestic and international oilfield, this paper has designed and achieved multi-information and integrated management platform of heavy oil thermal recovery based on GIS.For the integration of reservoirs multi-information, there are two types of solutions domestic and international. One type is the development of specialized technology platforms, such as Petrel, Eclipse, etc.. Such solutions can achieve reservoir multi-information integration, which integrates data integration at professional level, but on the results of the integration of maps, there are still some limitations. And because of its multi-information database reservoir is formed separately, which cannot achieve reservoirs multi-information concurrent access and sharing on a network, yet cannot achieve departmental integration and enterprise integration.Focused on the characteristics of heavy oil thermal recovery, we analysis carefully every data which is produced on the process of heavy oil thermal recovery.On the basis of computer and database technology, combined with the characteristics of geographic information systems, which has the advantage on the data management and spatial analysis, this paper achieves the platform of multi-information and integrated management of heavy oil thermal recovery based on GIS.By using GIS technology, the paper has achieved the construction of reservoirs reservoir digital multi-information integration and The histogram automatic mapping based on ArcEngine secondary development.By designing the related table structure, static and dynamic data related to heavy oil thermal recovery can be stored and managed by Oracle database. For related outcomes maps in heavy oil thermal recovery, we can use the ArcSDE spatial database engine to put related outcomes maps and corresponding attribute information into Oracle database, which can support the effective management for data. For related information document data, the corresponding relation table can be established, which contains physical path of the document data. Relation table is also stored in the Oracle database so that whether ordinary data, graphic data or document data, are unified into an integrated Oracle database management.Integrated with both CGM and SEGY into the system, user can conveniently browse the Windows platform to the relevant outcomes maps. The histogram automatic mapping is based on Arc Engine secondary development.By drawing component module system platform to achieve a single-well, multi-well oil production curve, multi-well oil contrast curves, single well set, multi-set oil wells curves, single well set, multi-well injection curve group, single-well, multi-well cycle curve, multi-well periodic contrast curve.Thesis research work carries out for future achievement on multi-information integration management into spatial database of thermal recovery of heavy oil reservoir, which is in favor of sharing Oil enterprises internal information and multi-disciplinary research. Key technology research for multi-information integration of reservoir will enrich the basic theory of digital reservoir construction.
