Activated clay used clay which main component is bentonite clay as raw material, through the inorganic acidification treatment, water rinse and then dried it. It is adsorbentwhich main ingredients are silica, alumina and other inorganic oxide. In the petroleumchemical industry, activated clay mainly used for the refining, decolorization and purificationof lubricating oil, paraffin oil, such industrial products. In the process refining of oil andparaffin wax, activated clay adsorb certain impurities at the same time also adsorb a largenumber of lubricating oil and paraffin wax products, thus become oily waste clay. The oilywaste clay is not only the solid waste which is difficult to handle, but also a being overlookedsource of resource acquisition. The oil industry has developed rapidly, which leads to theproduction of waste clay increase year after year. If not handled in time these waste clay willnot only pollute the environment, endanger the quality of ground water, but also exposed toair prone to spontaneous combustion and then cause a fire. Waste clay processing, lubricatingoil and paraffin recycling were become a hot topic among people.Oil sand is a kind of vast content unconventional energy in the world, because miningand refining cost is bigger, oil sand has not been valued. But as the tight supply of crude oilresources in recent years and rising oil price, oil sand is getting more and more attention. Allcountries in the world started to use and mine oil sand.Indonesia is a country which has richoil content. Indonesia oil sand has high oil content, at30%~40%, has very highly use value. So it has very high practical significance for analysis and treatment of Indonesia oil sand.In this article, we put forward the feasibility strong processing method for such oily solidwastes. Two aspects are as following:1. To lubricating oil waste clay, surfactant washing method was adopted and selected akind of anionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant and an inorganic detergent auxiliary tocompound. Through the research of different surfactants and different washing conditions, thebest prescription of surfactant and mix proportion and the best washing condition wereidentified. Lubricating oil waste clay and paraffin waste clay recovery effect is well, oilremoval rate reached94.23%and94.23%, respectively. The oil content of lubricating oilwaste clay is reduced to0.92%, completely conform to the state of oily solid waste emissionsstandards (HJ60T-2011).2. To paraffin waste clay, hot water washing method was used to establish the reasonableprocess line. Paraffin waste clay has high wax content and clay adsorption, which is difficultyto screen the formulation of detergent. We chose three kinds of surfactants, the result shows that the waste clay containing paraffin wax rate was7.11%. Oil and paraffin in waste clay canbe recycled. Waste clay through activation, also can be used to regenerate and this is a kind ofresource saving.3.In organic solvent extraction, toluene is determined as the best extraction solvent.Under the condition of optimum process, oil recovery rate reached more than98%. Thismethod is characterized by high oil resources recovery rate, no water and simple operation. The deficiency is toluene toxicity, high energy consumption of toluene recovery. The result of the research is feasible, which ideal process is simple and processing cost islow and has no secondary pollution. It provides an organized way of thinking for thepetrochemical industry pollution governance.
