With the continuous development of science and technology and computertechnology matures, using CAD/CAE/CAM technology for mold design researchhas become the inevitable requirements of injection mold. Using CAD/CAE/CAMtechnology can effectively improve the level of injection mold design, improve themanufacturing quality of mould, shorten the development cycle, reduce theproduction cost, reduce the labor intensity of designer, etc.CAD/CAE/CAMtechnology applied in injection mould industry will be more and more attention.Paper introduces the domestic and foreign research present situation and futuredevelopment trend of injection mold, expounds and analyzes the injection moldCAD/CAE/CAM technology application situation. Electric mosquito repellentheater cover injection mould as an example, the injection mold CAD/CAE/CAMtechnology has carried on the detailed research, the research content mainly has thefollowing several aspects:(1) mold design using Pro/E software, the die structure design module forinstance design content including: mold core mold design, the design of gatingsystem and cooling system, standard mould base calls and injection mold auxiliaryparts design, etc.(2) the use of Moldflow software CAE for injection mould flow analysis,analysis of content including: filling, pressure maintaining and cooling analysis,buckling analysis and design of injection molding process parameters, the key to theproblem of plastic buckling of optimization design. Step constant pressure curve isstudied, and the decreasing pressure curve, linear gradient pressure curve of threedifferent types of pressure curve on the quality of the products, injection molding,and combined with the research object to modify the initial design, reduces thewarping deformation of plastic products. This basis using the mould temperatureand the method of ejection temperature differential regulation continue to optimizethe plastic buckling problems. Through times of simulation different moldtemperature and ejection temperature, fitting out of the mold temperature curve,analysis of the mold temperature and the optimal value of ejection temperature, ideal optimization results were obtained, and completed the optimization process ofwarping problem. Finally according to the result of CAE optimization analysis, todetermine that could satisfy the requirement of injection molding process.(3) the application of Pro/E software CAM numerical control processingmodule of injection mold numerical control machining simulation, completed oninjection mould core and cavity CNC machining. Through the simulation ofmachining process, determine the processing scheme, and eventually generateinjection mold NC program.
