Coal mine roadway monitoring and support is a major issue of coal mine production safety. Because of the inconvenient communications and the limited monitoring facilities, coal mine safety is facing a huge threat. The mine roof displacement monitoring system of this project is capable of real-time monitoring analysis and forecasting, can greatly enhance mine safety.Firstly, according to the requirement of complex mine distribution structure and special technology, this project gives out a monitoring data transmission mode-P-T-P ZigBee wireless transmission of relay, and designs roof displacement acquisition substations, a communication master and a data management software. The substations are mounted on the tunnel roof per50m to collect and querie tunnel roof separation information. The substations also can be a relay to transmit the information from the substation which is away from the master station through the ZigBee radio-relay transmission mode. The communication master which installed in the underground tunnel entrance or the control room is able to collect all the substations’ information which is belonged to its tunnel, and provide storage, query, dump and uploaded to lnoue monitoring host. The roof displacement data management software which is running on lnoue monitoring host provides the function of collecting roof displacement information, storing, querying, alarming and printing.ZigBee module is combinated by CC2530and CC2591to increase the transmitter power to22dbm. The software designed the communication timing between the substations. Hardware and software optimize low-power substation. Communication master uses STM32F103VE as digital processing core to complete separation of data collection, storage, query, dump, display and upload based on uCOS embedded operating system. Both of them are equipment protection by intrinsic safety, meeting the’GB3836explosive atmospheres’ requirement. Finally, paper introduced the experience of gain mining safety signs and the preparation of enterprise standards.In practical work, each master can connect up to64collection substations, can satisfy the monitoring of3000m tunnel roof. With low power design through Hardware-Software Co-design, sensor’s average daily power consumption is only3.18mAh, equipped with a2.4Ah lithium battery, the sensor can be used more than1year. Design of this thesis of mine roof displacement monitoring system includes collection substation and communication main-station by Chongqing Coal Science Research Institute to monitor the safety standard, achieved safety standard certificate and proof card, has been applied in Si Hou and Wang Zhuang Mine in ShanXi.
