In recent years, a variety of climate and environment issues are being increasingly acute,due to the increase of greenhouse gases emission and the enhancement of greenhouse effects.So it has already become a major challenge about how to reduce the amount of greenhousegases emission for different governments, especially for C02emission. The main reason iscaused by some human activities which can rise the amount of greenhouse gases emission,such as the burning of fossil fuels and variation of land use. As all of the human activities arehappened on the land, there is a close relationship between those (energy consumption, energyefficiency and economic development) and land use, which is also introduced anddemonstrated by type conversion and structure adjustment of land use. Therefore, consideringdifferent industries of various land use types, the corresponding Carbon Emission (CE) andfootprint produced on the lands were observed. Then the major reason of CE pressure inShaanxi Province was studied from four aspects, which may provide practical and theoreticalreference to find a better land use method:“Low Carbon+High Efficiency”.First of all, the relation of energy consumption industries and land use types wasestablished in this dissertation, which was deduced by energy consumption data from the yearof2001to2012and CE calculation formula of IPCC. Then CE amount and carbon footprintof different land use types could also be computed. According to the above results andplanning area of various land types from “Overall Plan for Land Utilization in ShaanxiProvince (2006-2020)”, CE effect in2020was forecasted. Secondly, CE influence mechanismof land use in Shaanxi Province was analyzed by economic growth, industrial structure, andland cover. At last, decoupling model of carbon pressure in Shaanxi Province was built upbased upon LMDI factor decomposition method; variations, such as energy structure, energyuse efficiency, land value, and forest coverage, were introduced from extension KAYAidentical equation; the CE environmental pressure influence in Shaanxi Province wasanalyzed from cumulative effect and annual effect and affected by various factors, like energyemission intensity, energy structure, energy efficiency, economic effect, and environmentaleffect.The following results would be obtained:(1) CE overall amount has increased by143.81%gradually between2001and2012. There was a climbing trend for CE amount of unit area in Shaanxi Province (an increase of144%) and that of industrial and mining areaaccounted for the majority. The overall carbon footprint in2012rose by143.81%than that in2001in Shaanxi Province and ecological deficit was illustrated increasingly from2008.According to the forecast of land CE in Shaanxi Province in2020, the ecological pressureindex and deficit would be1.95and13,102,800respectively, meanwhile land use efficiencywould be very low.(2) The value of Pearson between CE and economic increase in ShaanxiProvince was0.9942. If the lag period was in one year, economic growth was the main reasonto cause CE amount change; if that was in two years, there was an obvious causality betweenCE and economic growth. In addition, the relation between CE effect and secondary andtertiary production output was under weak decoupled state in Shaanxi Province.(3) The valueof CE pressure for each hectare of forest was7.8614t in Shaanxi in2012, which was anincrease of3.2144t more than that in2001. Furthermore, the whole effect of CE pressureaccumulation of energy consumption was shown as an overall upward trend in ShaanxiProvince. But the effect value of intensity accumulation of energy emission was always equalto zero. Then it would be deduced that energy efficiency and economic effect factors play animportant role in the increase of CE pressure. All in all, energy structure factor has becomethe main inhibiting factor from2004, while environment effect accumulation plays an activerole in the decrease of CE pressure.
