Various toxic or harmful gases are generated during mining operations. Mine aircomposition change a lot, which can not only impact work productivity but also harmthe workers’ health seriously. So it’s necessary to ventilate the mining area workenvironment. In order to respond to the call of energy-saving and develop circulareconomy and in consideration of peculiarities of mine that large return air flow, highhumidity, return air temperature is affected little by outdoor temperature and keepsnearly constant, the thesis combines return air heat and technology of heat pump torecycle low-grade heat and use for supplying mine bath water and heating in winter andsummer cooling. Thereby, the amount of coal-fired boiler and air pollution can bereduced.Because of return air cannot fully contact with water for heat transfer, fillingmaterial is used under water inlet. The filling material has novel structure, bighydrophilic area, small pressure drop, better heat transfer effect. The filling material canchange water particles into water film and increase contact area and time between waterand air. The heat transfer of gas-liquid two-phase in heat exchanger are more uniformand the intensity of heat transfer is also improved and can increase stability of heattransfer of whole system. Combined with applied examples of mine waste heat recoverywhich used return air heat exchanger, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation andexperimental study was adopted to study how to control quantity of recycle for wasteheat effectively. By using CFD software, filling material layout, water velocity, returnair velocity and height of diffuser were simulated, good simulation parameters that canimprove return air heat exchange efficiency were conclude based on simulation results.In this paper, based on the theory of heat transfer, heat pump technology combined withtheoretical knowledge to build the mine return air source application system, and finallywhether can be demonstrated in the implementation of the technical, economic andother aspects.
