Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS),was regarded as the unique nano-hybrid compound now. It’s general formula was(RSiO1.5)n, where n was an odd number(n(?)4)and R=H,organyl,halogen,etc. The cubic silsesquioxanes (simply as "cubes") offer up to eight reactive sites, one at each vertex, in principle, each site can be functionalized differently, thus cubes can be prepared with diverse sets of functional groups. The structure of POSS included inorganic nuclear as SiO2and organic lateral groups and it could be synthesized from organic silicane or modified SiO2. POSS was considered as a unique hybrid nano chemical filling, and polymers incorporating POSS are becoming the focus of many studies due to the excellent heat resistance and mechanical properties.In this thesis, vinyl-POSS were synthesized by the hydrolytic polycondensation of trifunctional monomers RSiOX3and different catalyzers, in which R was vinyl and X are CH3O, C2H5O, Cl. The POSS-epoxide (EOVS) was prepared by octavinyl-poss (OVS). The structures of products were confirmed by1H-NMR,29Si-NMR, FT-IR, GPC,TOF and XRD.A novel composite composed of bisphenol-polybenzoxazine and EOVS were prepared successfully. The step-curing of this system was researched. The thermal resistant,mechanical characters and curing reaction dynamics of the composites was tested. The results indicated, Compared with raw materials, the glass transition temperature (196℃) and modulus (2.35GPa) of PBZ-EOVS resin had remarkable increasing, curing reaction temperatures and Ea of BZ resin were get. EOVS decrease the initiative curing temperature of BZ resin.
