In order to further expand themarket, many businesses start producing production of mercerized cotton knitteddress. Comply with the demand of the market, this paper studies mercerized cottonknitted dress and structure design. The concrete research content mainly has thefollowing several aspects:Firstly，using KES fabric style tester and other equipments test mercerized cottonfabrics of fabric style and the physical properties (including drape, and creaseresilience, softness and size changes. The test results are analysed with SPSSstatistical analysis software in the way of descriptive statistical method and theanalysis of main factor analysis. This paper sums up the main characteristics ofmercerized cotton knitted fabrics.Secondly， this paper studys the women’s clothing, combined with the feature ofmercerized cotton knitted fabrics. It states the theories of silhouette、provincial roads,divider, decoration method.Thirdly， it collects a large number of human body measurement data, which isanalysed by SPSS analysis software with the methods of cluster analysis andregression analysis. It concludes a series of regression equation about the height, chestcircumference with the human body each place dimension. According to theregression equations, it calculates the size of each human body’s part for thepreparation of drawing mercerized cotton knitted garment sample drawn.Forthly，it calculates the size of each part of human body according to theregression equations to make sure the drawing size. Design the mercerized cottonknitted dress based model referring to the Japanese cultural dress prototype. Finally， based on the basic model, design the structures of three types ofclothing, tight type, size and loose type. When it calculates the drawing size of eachpart, includes the fabric shrinkage. Produce the production, and then test them andcheck whether the size is OK or not.Through the above research, it formes a theoretical system of mercerized cottonknitted dress from the fabric, styling options to structure, which combines thecharacteristics of fabrics of mercerized cotton knitted dress. This opens a moretargered and meticulous way for knitting clothing design. It not only providespractical application value to the production of the enterprise, but also reducesproblem about the size change of mercerized cotton dress which is washed.
