Subsea oil recovery equipments need to work in a few hundred meters or eventhousands of meters deep sea floor. Because of the complex working environment, itmust have high structural intensity, high corrosion resistance and high pressureresistant, so it has the characteristic such as high investment, high technology andhigh risk, as well as special materials and processing technology. At Present, althoughsome domestic enterprises have started working on the development of the subsea oilrecovery equipment, a complete set of subsea oil recovery equipment manufacturingsystem did not form. So the Offshore Oil Engineering Company Limited ready to setup comparatively complete underwater production facilities manufacturing plant, itneeds to do some research on the craft process and the equipment layout of theunderwater production facilities which are closely related. So this article focuses onthe comprehensive analysis of these both sides. A process planning system isdeveloped based on the key components of underwater production facilities. Themajor contents are listed as below.(1) The structure and process characteristics of the key components ofunderwater production facilities are analyzed at first. Then the method of systematiclayout planning and the principle and form of workshop equipment layout areintroduced. A research plan of the equipment and its layout of the manufacturingworkshop of the key components of underwater production facilities is put forwardwhich could give some reference to the construction and planning of the workshop.(2) The composition and expression or obtain method of process information areintroduced. Then a process information database is established in order to facilitatethe management and use of process information.(3) The composition and representing method of part feature information areintroduced. The feature information can be extracted and inputted on the platform ofCreo2.0, and stored in the database which can be used during the process design.(4) A process design platform for the key components of underwater productionfacilities is developed based on the Creo2.0’s secondary development. On theplatform, processing information can be edited, typical process can be queried andprocess diagram can be quickly generated. The barcode is generated and displayed inthe process documents which make it easy to transfer and manage the process document. The platform can also export the process content to Excel to generateExcel form of process documentation which is convenient for printing and managingthe process document.(5) The operation of all modules are simulated with one of the underwaterproduction facilities, to some extent, this verified the feasibility and practicability ofthe system.To sum up, the process design system for the key components of underwaterproduction facilities developed in this paper can offer some convenience for themaking of its process, and can also manage the process information effectively.
